WELCOME TO BLACK AUTHORS MATTER ~ INTERVIEW!!!
I'm Stella and I write Flirty & Feisty Romance Novels. Follow me on Amazon. |
Hello Romance Lovers,
In the coming months, I'm going to showcase one black romance author after another and their great books.
Now get comfortable with a glass of your favourite drink in one hand because you are about to meet the number eight Black Romance Author on my list. Her name is Author E Browser! Ebony was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and still resides in Maryland, USA.
We want to know a bit about your family
life.
I am Ebony Bowser. I was born and raised
in Maryland where now I am an author of Paranormal Romance. I have been
published for 6 years.
I love the fact I can write a story
about love and see others fall in love with what I have created.
Do you have hidden messages woven into
your stories?
I do have a lot of message in my
stories. Some are for other books and some are there with encouraging messages
for those who need it.
What’s the best thing about your writing
and publishing routine?
I guess being self-published. I say
that only because I do not have to answer to someone else except my readers and
I am not stressing if I can’t get something done on time. I can write my books the
way that I want and only have my self to answer to if I do not make my schedule.
I have all the creative control over my work, book covers, and anything else pertaining
to my stories.
What steps did you take to publish
your first book?
Wow I took so many wrong steps that I
wish I had the knowledge that I have today. I should have done more research and
marketing before release. Honestly, it was never meant to be published but for
a friend who just wanted a Paranormal Romance book with characters that looked
like her.
How did you come up with the idea for your
recent book/Who’s your favourite character and why?
I came up with the idea when I came home
from vacation and a friend said to me “I want to read a black Twilight” and I said
hold my iced tea and got to writing. I think my favourite character is Taria
because she was the first voice I heard in my thoughts when writing the book.
She is also the character that POV was only going to be told but everyone else
started having a say and it became all the main characters.
What’s the hardest thing about the
publishing process?
I think the hardest thing for me is
marketing and finding the readers who love my genre.
Why should a new reader buy your book(s)?
If they like Paranormal Romance with
POC and humour with some hot sex on the side, then readers should check me out.
Also, I don’t just stick to one type of supernatural creature in my stories. I
think I have just about everything running around in my world of Deadly Secrets.
Working on a new book/project?
I am working on a Novella in my series
Deadly Secrets and the second book to my Zombie series DreamWalker: Visions of
the Dead.
Brag about any awards or badges.
None yet.
Any thoughts on Black Lives Matter Movement?
I feel that right now we have a voice and platform
that can be used. If people can't understand that black lives matter then they
are a part of the problem. To those who don't get it why don't you just ask.
We as a race need to come together and I believe it can be done.

Taria and
LaToya must accept that things will never be the same.
Taria Cross and
LaToya Grey are in their last year at Morrison State University. Taria is
working hard to achieve a career in investigative journalism that she’s always
wanted, while LaToya is an aspiring fashion photographer.
On the surface, they seem like nothing more than your typical twenty-two-year-olds – balancing college work, social circles, and their plans for the future. Their love lives were going well, too. Taria had Michael, and LaToya had Quinn.
Everything was as normal as things could be… until Taria’s
missing person’s investigation leads them to uncover something mysterious
involving Michael and Quinn. On the surface, they seem like nothing more than your typical twenty-two-year-olds – balancing college work, social circles, and their plans for the future. Their love lives were going well, too. Taria had Michael, and LaToya had Quinn.
Suddenly, Taria and LaToya find themselves embroiled in a world they never even knew existed. Familiar faces around campus emerge as the victims of two of the most shocking kidnapping and murder cases in history. Clue after clue brings one dead end after another. It’s obvious that Michael and Quinn have a secret they’re hiding, but not for long.
Who is committing these murders, and why? As the clues become more intense and revealing, the danger is around every corner, ready to pounce.
