We want to know a bit about your family
life.
Single mother of two teens, grad
school student, with a MA in English Literature and an MA in Creative Writing concentration
in Fiction and English. I am also a
gamer. I fell in love with romance books
at the tender age of 11.
What drives you to write romance
stories?
I have always loved stories written
about love. What drives me is to write
and read books that have characters that look like me and others that I know.
Do you have hidden messages woven into
your stories?
Not so much a hidden message. I clearly believe that love is love as I
write in all gender mixes as well as having diverse characters.
What’s the best thing about your writing
and publishing routine?
Writing allows me to get the stories
out of my head and onto the page.
What steps did you take to publish
your first book?
I wrote the book and then looked for
publishers who would take the kind of books that I write. Once I found that I did a synopsis and
queried those publishers.
How did you come up with the idea for your
recent book/Who’s your favourite character and why?
I’m actually working a few books at
the same time. I honestly don’t have a
favorite. I love all of my characters
for different reasons if that makes sense?
Books that I’m working on currently are: Book 2 in the Undeniable series
(friends to lovers) It’s Work (It’s Complicated is the first story) comes out
September 14, 2020, Finesse Book 2 in the Radioactive Tales of Love series
comes out August 7th, 2020 (Swagger was the first), Forever, Monie (What the
Heart Wants anthology) comes out September 1, 2o2o, and Hot for Teacher
co-authored with Bella Rosso comes out July 9th, 2020. The first three books are on preorder.
What’s the hardest thing about the
publishing process?
The hardest part for me is the editing
process.
Why should a new reader buy your book(s)?
I think a new reader would enjoy my
perspective on love and find my stories entertaining.
Working on a new book/project?
I will be working on the third book in
the Undeniable series as well as a third book for the Radioactive Tales of Love
series.
Brag about any awards or badges.
I have won international bestseller by selling a
lot of Amazon. I have also won readers
choice awards for different books that I’ve written.
Any thoughts on Black Lives Matter Movement?
BLM has been going on for over 400
years. People need to wake up and
realize that our lives matter.
