Drum roll please...
We want to know a bit about your family
life.
I’m a wife and mother of one beautiful,
smart, and caring daughter.
What drives you to write romance
stories?
I first started writing to battle
depression from losing my father, and my oldest sister in less than a year
apart. The next year I lost an uncle, and then a year after that my godmother.
Life and losses got to be too much for me. Also, I had promised my deceased
sister that I would one day write a book. I picked up pen and paper and penned
my first story, which was Ask Me Again. I later added two more books to
complete the series. Now I write for the love of writing.
Do you have hidden messages woven into
your stories?
The messages I try to weave in all my stories are about
forgiveness, second chances, and having faith.
What’s the best thing about your writing
and publishing routine?
What steps did you take to publish
your first book?
I asked a local self-publishing author/publisher
if she could read my Ask Me Again manuscript and give me her input. She loved
it and said she would be happy to publish it under her publishing company. That’s
how I became a first-time published author.
How did you come up with the idea for your
recent book/Who’s your favourite character and why?
Quarantined With My Best Friend’s
Brother came about because of the Covid-19 situation. I wanted to give readers a
mental retreat from all the uncertainty in the world. Although the story is
fiction, I wanted to show that good, and love can come out of trying times.
I have so many favorite characters
from my books. My most favorites are from my Noelle’s Rock series. I can’t name
one without the other because Beau and Noelle Barringer are synonymous to
peanut butter and jelly. Beau and Noelle fought through heartbreak, fear, and
doubt to find their happily ever after. Their road wasn’t easy, but their
strength and love won out in the end.
What’s the hardest thing about the
publishing process?
The hardest things are choosing the
right book covers, the marketing, and even finding the proper editors.
Why should a new reader buy your book(s)?
Readers should buy my books because I
am a reader first and foremost. I attempt to write characters that readers can empathize
with. The characters I write about are not perfect, but I try to give them
redeeming qualities. I also give my characters second chances at life and love.
Working on a new book/project?
I am working on a story for an anthology featuring
several other authors. The proceeds from the Love Me Always will be donated in
their entirety to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund
Brag about any awards or badges.
I was featured author in Ubawa’s July 2017 Issue
18 Magazine.
Any thoughts on Black Lives Matter Movement?
I commend the black lives matter movement on ensuring
the fight against racial injustices and pushing for equality among people of
color. These are brave individuals and the movement gives me hope for a
brighter future.

Manning is the only
man I have ever loved.
He's my charismatic husband, who is confident, he is an overachiever and a workaholic. He promised me that we could start
trying for a baby, then he
reneged on his word. I shouldn't have done it, but I did. I took matters into
my own hands.

Loving You Forever |
He's angry. Well, so
am I. He will have to get over it, or I warned him I would raise our baby alone.
Suddenly my husband has a change of heart. He promises me he's committed
to becoming a father and to making our marriage work.I'm not sure that I believe him. Only time will tell.

It is amazing how your writing emerged from grief. Which of your books is your favourite? Pick one.
You and I share similar dreams - to have our books turned into movies. Which one of your books will you pick to become a movie if given the opportunity?
