Now get your choice drink and stretch out on a comfy chair because you are about to meet the number four Black Romance Author on my list. Her name is Author Sonja B! Sonja was born and raised in Chicago Illinois but now resides in Atlanta, Texas, USA.

We want to know a bit about your family
life.
I’m
originally from Chicago, Illinois but reside in Atlanta, Texas with my husband
and son. Just like my books, I am very family oriented so there are lots of
Sunday cookouts and family dinners with our extended families. We have a farm
that houses our horses and cattle! Going to Trailrides on the weekend is a
family favorite. My husband and sons are avid riders. They are my also my
biggest supporters on this writing adventure I’m taking.
What drives you to write romance
stories?
I have always loved a good romance book, so when I
decided to write my own stories I wanted the romance to be hot but also a good
storyline too.
Do you have hidden messages woven into
your stories?
Yes, my message in all my books are about the love
of family, whether you are blood related or not.
I’m a very family-oriented person and it shows in my books.
What’s the best thing about your writing
and publishing routine?
About my writing it would be developing new
characters for the readers to fall in love with. As far as publishing the best thing is
submitting the final manuscript.
What steps did you take to publish
your first book?
I researched many publishing companies until I found
the right fit with After Hours Publications.
How did you come up with the idea for your
recent book/Who’s your favourite character and why?
I was challenged by my agent Unique Words to
stretch my pen and write something other than paranormal. So, I thought about it and came up with The
Salvant Brothers. My favorite character is Axl because he went through so much
to get back to his brothers and the love of his life.
What’s the hardest thing about the
publishing process?
Doing edits.
Doing edits.
Why should a new reader buy your book(s)?
They should buy my books because they have
everything you are looking for in a Romance book. Strong male and female main
characters, good storyline, steamy scenes and HEA’s.
Working on a new book/project?
I am currently working on Book 4 of the Salvant
Brothers.
