I have missed bringing you beautiful brides from all over Africa.
But first, I have two marriage quotes to melt your hearts.
RomQuotes #1
"Love me without fear. Trust me without wondering. Love me without restrictions. Want me without demand. Accept me how I am. A love like that, will be eternal!"
RomQuotes #2
"May our last kisses be many years from now and taste of one another's lips."
Today, I have several photos of Igbo brides from South Eastern Nigeria.
The traditional marriage ceremony is called Igbankwu, or wine carrying. It involves the bride carrying a cup of palm wine to her groom.
The bride then makes her second entrance with her ladies-in-waiting. In this part of the ceremony the bride must hunt for her fiance amongst the crowd of guests.
When the bride finds her groom, she presents him with a cup of traditional palm wine while being distracted by the invited guests. By drinking from the cup, he accepts her into his family and they become man and wife traditionally.
The bride makes one more costume change before the cutting of the cake - shaped like a gourd. Note how the groom's hat always matches the bride's outfit.
At the reception dance, the bride is sprayed with money.

If you have bridal photos to share from your place, send it to me via email and I'll share it here and give you credit. I love romance and swooning over bride photos is my hobby.
