Swallowing gulp of air for courage, Chloe went to him. She surprised him by going to sit
on his thighs. His eyes narrowed first as if trying to understand her volte
face, before hauling her right across his body.
“You’re so very pigheaded and, close mouthed
about how you feel. You’re driving me
zany!” Warren said in frustration.
Chloe
shrugged. “Why haven’t you been picking my calls, if you cared so much?" She
taunted as she fought for breath against his thudding chest.
“Because I
needed to find out if you’ll be aching to see me. I want to know if__”
“And…?” Chloe interrupted.
His fingers
rubbed her spine, setting her body alight. “And what?” She moaned against his lips.
“What have you found out?” She purred. Where their
thighs met, lightning surged in both directions.
“That you’re__” She found the sexual
strength to kiss him into silence. He promptly shut his mouth. She ran her
fingers across his torso and his ribs. Feeling molten inferno searing her body,
she went for quick strokes of his hardening nipples.
Warren’s
staged control snapped.
Lowering his wayward hands to mold her firm
butt, he worked his way up her back. Kissing her bare shoulders. Chloe squirmed in
his arms.
That was all
the indication he needed. When he pulled her inner olive green, tube top down
to reveal the purple lacy bra he bought for her, his nostrils flared.
He knew he was playing with danger, but how
was he going to stop?
"You’re wholly seductive, with a body to lust after. I’ve
good intentions, but you’re pushing me over the edge, Sweetheart."
Years ago, Chloe developed a secret crush on Warren, but a painful event led her to believe she had been set up. To preserve family ties, she kept the humiliating incident and her subsequent actions secret.
Now, a high-powered freelance fashion journalist, Chloe intends to live her jet-set life to the fullest, until her former crush unexpectedly knocks on the door.
