Flirty & Feisty Romance has released book #1 in the Holiday Series Novella.

Stolen Valentine Kiss (Holiday Series #1)

Will One Kiss Steal Her Heart?

Genre: Fiction/Romance/Contemporary/Multiracial/African-American

Blurb

One broken heart. Two grieving minds.

To Lorna Ibe, Departmental Manager with one of London's multi-channel retailers, Valentine's Day lost its romantic flavour years ago. An unplanned holiday to New
Jersey is her perfect getaway from the stress and emotional turmoil locked in her heart, just what she needs to take her mind off her troubles. That's until she runs into Logan.

Magazine publisher, Logan Blake has had his fair share of stress in the past few years. When his sister asks him to drop off old clothes to charity, he has a minor accident in front of the charity shop where Lorna volunteers. When he sets eyes on her bare midriff as she wipes the display window, he clears his busy schedule to volunteer his time. Two burdened hearts afraid to get entwined.

One Stolen Valentine Kiss. Will Valentine season bring them romance or will their fears keep them apart?

Get a sneak into Lorna and Logan's budding affair.

Two hearts...One Love.

Sucking in air, she faced him. ''Don't make me send you home for bad behaviour, Logan Blake.''
He chuckled. ''Have dinner with me tonight, Lorna.''
Her heart frog jumped. ''You're joking right?''
He shrugged, grinning at her, thawing her tough as leather heart pouch. ''I can take you home for you to get changed.''

Too stunned at his invitation, she carried on with work. "We've got to check the paper roll and ribbon, so that when we print receipt...'' With one hand on top of hers, Logan forced her to stare at him. ''I need an answer.''

Unbelievable warmth surged through her arms, flowed unstopped to her heart, washing away years of grief...making her eyes fly at half mast and her heart hammer within her chest wall.

His arched eyebrows and his enticing clear blue eyes captured her senses, holding

her still. Her mouth opened, no words came out. She gulped air. Very slowly, his head descended. Will he kiss her? Should she allow him? Reasonable questions raced through her stumbling mind.

Stop him, her head sang.
Taste him before you decide, her heart cried out.

When her knees hit the edge of the wooden table housing the till, she walked free. ''No...I can't. My Aunt is expecting me for dinner.'' She excused, rushing to the kitchenette. Following closely behind, he suggested, ''Dine with me tomorrow, please?''

Halting her getaway, she faced him. ''Why? I'm not interested in starting a relationship.'' With stiff movements, she made coffee for two.
''Who said anything about a relationship?'' he frowned, his tone turning harsh. ''I'm too busy to engage in a relationship. You interest me. It's only dinner, Lorna.''

She saluted. ''That's reassuring. After dinner, your interest in me will wane and we can concentrate on working together instead of dinning out?''
''Is that a yes?'' he entreated, sipping from his mug.
''Shouldn't you be taking your girlfriend out to dinner?'' his mouth grew compact as he swallowed his drink. ''Leave out the girlfriend bit. We're only going to chat, eat and drink.''

''Aren't you worried she'll come up to us and throw a tantrum? I don't do scenes well. They freak me out.''
''If I had one, then I'll be worried.''
Should she believe him? ''One more question, is there any reason you're still single?''

One hand in his pocket, his eyes searched hers. ''Did I say I was single?'' her hands flew to his fingers. No rings.
''Married?'' she quizzed, her head whirling fast.
''Never been married. Not ready. Don't ask when I'll be ready. Any more question, I'll freak out! Save your questions for dinner.''

Author Bio

I am Stella Eromonsere-Ajanaku, a fun loving mother of two, married to my very own gorgeous alpha male. I recently 'retired' from an eighteen year stint working as a Quality Assurance Manager. Writing romance novels is an exciting adventure. In

2010, I created Flirty & Feisty Romance Novels. There are six contemporary romance novels in the kitty, varying from sweet & sensual to spicy hot & steamy - LOITERING SHADOWS, STORMY DEFENSE, BEYOND the LADY, THE GARDNER'S ICE MAIDEN, SPARKLING DAWN and HUSBAND to RENT. STOLEN VALENTINE KISS is my first series and my first Novella.

On my writing desk at the moment, my first historical romance, a trilogy is taking shape. A daunting challenge I must confess, but I love the characters and their journey so far. In my leisure time, I go swimming, read romance novels, go to Cinema, and watch TV.

Flaws in Your Marriage?

Every marriage has flaws or thorns. There's no exception. On the upside, every marriage also enjoys many moments of celebration.

Even in the best of relationships, things go wrong now and again that cause unintended hurt. It doesn't make the hurt less painful. You have a few choices; to
cling to the pain by harbouring resentment, to offer grace and forgiveness or to complain about the wrong doing until you are blue in the face.

You can do the following to handle the flaws.

View the flaws differently

Can you change your wife from being heady to being more accepting just because the bible says, wife submit to your own husbands? It ain't so easy. However, you can decide to see her stubbornness as a positive trait of persistence and tenacity. It takes grace to choose to love your spouse even when you know they're not perfect.

Your flaws are part of who you are

Yes, until your spouse decides to shed their less than appealing traits, they form part of who they are. Instead of getting upset because your spouse is habitually disorganized, you can work with God in helping them become more organized. Pray for them and lovingly help them get better organized. Meanwhile, you can choose to see it as a sign your spouse is creative and flexible - which are positive traits.

Celebrate your spouse

Until you see the change you're praying and hoping for in your partner, understand,
accept, forgive the flaws and celebrate the positive attributes. If he compliments you, helps you with house chores, does school run, cooks a few meals, pays the bills etc. let it not go unsung. Tell him how appreciative you are. He'll do more.

Your partner's flaws can help develop good traits in you

Yes, believe it. After living for five years with your husband who piles his dirty clothes on the dining chair, you learn to be patient, to hold your tongue, to pick up after him when you can or leave them there until he needs them. Your partner's flaws may initially bring out the worst in you but over the years, if you persevere and overlook, you can laugh over it together and celebrate when he changes.

My point is, your partner will change when God changes him. You also have flaws, he has to live with. Acknowledge your intolerance, learn to forgive your partner's excesses even before they do it. That way, you kick out resentment before it steals peace and joy from your marriage.

What Makes a Movie or Book Hero Wonderful to the Point Your Toes Curl?

Welcome to the Winter Wonder Man Blog Hop hosted by H.D Thomson. It runs from January 16 - 19th.

This is an absolutely exciting hop with over fifty blogs participating.

What Makes a Movie or Book Hero Wonderful to the Point Your Toes Curl?

From my point of view, what makes a hero wonderful to the point my toes curl is a combination of looks, character and the story.

A hero has his hold on me from the start, if he's gorgeous! Yes, I'm a sucker for good looks in a movie or in a book. If I want it any other way, I'll gladly turn to reality.

For my toes to curl, my heart to warm and to sustain my interest the hero has to be true to himself, have strength of character, show consistency, be nice but have a mind of his own.

I love heroes who dish out ultimatum and follow through until they get results. Again, he must have just the right amount of arrogance mixed with subtle humility. Sounds complex? He's the ultimate package!

The hero that captures my heart is sexy and wild, loyal and kind but has an edge to him and does the unpredictable.

He's a package of attraction and connection.

Bradley James, Kevin Costner, Denzel Washington sure make me swoon.

The Convict and the Cattleman a #NewRelease by Allison Merritt

I have the pleasure of introducing Allison Merritt, a historical, paranormal and fantasy romance author to you.

Her exciting New Release, The Convict and the Cattleman has a stunning cover.

Soak up the interesting blurb and excerpt for your entertainment. I sure love this hot pick for early January.

Blurb:

His love is the key to her release.

Sentenced to seven years of servitude in the penal colony of New South Wales, Bridgit Madden is thrust into a world unlike anything she's known, dangers she
never imagined and enemies with their own interests at heart. Certain that the conviction has ruined her chances of ever having a real family, she is fearful of her future.

Despite his reluctance to take in a convict, Jonah Andrus, a grazier and pioneer cattleman, needs a servant to care for his orphaned niece. When presented with Bridgit, who is far too beautiful and distracting, he initially tries to refuse. However, with a busy cattle station to oversee, he needs help right away.

Upon her first meeting with Jonah's niece, Bridgit immediately falls in love with the girl and becomes entwined with the mystery surrounding her birth. As she gets to know her employer better, Bridgit makes it her mission to remind him that family is priceless. When it seems as though she might have found the place she truly belongs, their love is threatened by lies and deceit, and both of them might lose everything they hold dear for a second time.

Excerpt:

“There, there. Bridgit will be along any second. She knows how to take care of  you. Uncle Jonah will drop you. You’re too small.”

Surprised by his own admission, he stared helplessly at Olivia. When was the last time he’d paid her any attention? She’d grown and he hadn’t noticed. Babies did; he knew well enough from watching his calves during the summer. The baby he remembered was tiny, wrinkled and didn’t look like anyone. Charlotte, exhausted, but elated, had smiled proudly.

“Isn’t she beautiful, Jonah?”

Recalling her voice made his heart pound. The silly girl didn’t have a sense of shame. She’d been nervous when she admitted her tryst and the subsequent pregnancy, but she had defended her child. Not unlike one of his cows. They protected their young fiercely.

He hadn’t found the words to answer her question. All he saw was Rob Langnecker’s face. The desire to kill him had blotted out everything else. Langnecker had ruined his sister, left her alone with a bastard child and went off chasing other skirts. She’d died in the room where Bridgit slept, believing he’d come back for them.

If I ever catch him.

Jonah ran his hand down his face.
“Is something wrong?”

Bridgit’s warm hand closed around his. Pity shined in her eyes.

“The chores are waiting.” Clammy sweat dampened his shirt.

She tugged his hand. “You need to stay. You’ll regret it if you don’t. Go sit down.”

He didn’t understand why he obeyed, but he sat in the rocking chair by the window. His father had crafted it for his mother years before Jonah was born.

Bridgit lifted Olivia, nestling her into his arms. The cries eased to a whimper.

“Hold your arms like this. You’ve got to support her head.”

“I know.” Charlotte had insisted he hold Olivia hours after her birth. He remembered it clear as day. Accepting the chubby baby, he was surprised at her weight.

She’d been so small. “She’s healthy.”

It was more a question than a statement. Olivia gazed at him, eyes wide. Her fingers toyed with one of his buttons.

“Aye. Growing like a weed. She’s learning to roll over.” At his confused look, she explained, “That’s good. She’ll be crawling before long. She talks to me and follow things with her eyes. Everything she’s supposed to do.”

“Good. Charlotte would be glad.” His voice sounded choked and he cleared his throat, hoping Bridgit hadn’t noticed.

She lifted the bottle. “Here. Feed her. Tip it up, so the air gets in the bottle.”

He let her show him what to do, surprised again when Olivia grasped the bottle with her tiny hands. Her features were clearer now. Charlotte’s nose and chin. Those couldn’t be his ears, could they? Dark blue eyes stared up at him, then drifted shut as she suckled greedily. Her eyes were the only resemblance he could find to her father.

Bridgit kneeled beside the rocking chair and swept dark locks from the baby’s face. Her hand settled on his knee. “There. She’s happy now.” A wistful smile played across her face.

A jolt ran through him. With Olivia snuggled against his chest and Bridgit beside him, the moment belonged to a family man.

Author bio:

A love of reading turned Allison Merritt into an author who writes historical,
paranormal and fantasy romances, often combining the sub-genres. She graduated college with a B.A. in mass communications that's gathering dust after it was determined that she's better at writing fluff than hard news.

She lives in a small town in the Ozark Mountains with her husband and dogs. When she's not writing or reading, she hikes in national parks and conservation areas.
