He needed to know before he spent
more time with her.
“If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t be
sitting and chatting with you.”
Her voice sounded huskier, like
she was pissed.
His chest skipped.
“That’s not the answer I’m looking
for, Ola. It’s a yes or no, I’m after.”
“Persistent, huh? OK. It’s a yes,
Liam.”
“Even though I’m not dark or
handsome?”
“You’re way sexier and very
striking! Better than handsome, I’ll say. Don’t you know that already, hm?”

Grinning, he swerved around. “I
wasn’t expecting you to say that. But it feels great to hear it.”
She beamed at him, setting her
glass on the table. “Someone clearly doesn’t know he’s got high sex appeal. If so,
I find that super tempting.”
He felt his neck warm up as heat
suffused his skin.
“Do you find me attractive at all,
Liam?” Her nose flared at the sides. “Or is this a one-way track?”
“Isn’t it obvious?” Warmth lit up
in his stomach.
Ola wagged her finger. “That’s
not going to cut it. What was your first thought when you saw me? One word.”
“Bombshell!”
Laughter burst out of her kissable
lips. She leaned against the seat as she rocked back and forth. Her hair
flirted around the back of the loveseat. Heat surged in his belly and spread around
his groin.
Damn! No woman
had turned him on so quickly in a while. He covered the space between them with
a few strides and stared down at her. When she was done laughing, she arched
her neck.
“What do you like about my appearance
then?”
She parted her lips and watched
him intently.
The urge to kiss her occurred to him
more than once already.
“Your dark eyes are mesmerizing
for one. And your figure is hot. I can’t stop staring. Big boobs and wide hips
in a tight mini dress? Bombshell to be precise!”
Smiling, she skewed her head left
and curled the ends of her hair around her fingers while she rolled her eyes.
Tremors launched through his backbone.
“What don’t you like about my
appearance? Be honest,” she advised in a tiny voice that had his pulse racing.
She did this thing with her voice,
giving it a wide range. It was sexy and did things to his pulse rate he did not
think possible.
“Maybe your belly. Could be toned.”
Ola sighed.
“Between standing and going back and
forth all day doing my job, I’ve got no energy or time to do any exercise. When
I get home, all I want to do is sleep.”
Vulnerability stood out in her narrowed
eyes.
She rubbed her belly, defined in
her fitted dress and stared back at him.
“This belly fat isn’t going anywhere
soon, Liam. Can you stick with it?”
He sat beside her on the chair,
leaned toward her and covered her hand with his palm over her belly.
Ola stiffened at first, before
she relaxed against him a few seconds later. With her eyes fixed on his, she dropped
her hand and his own palm slid to her thigh.
“You can touch my belly if you
want, Liam.”
Thunder struck his chest. His
breathing quickened as he placed his palm on her belly. He cuddled the soft
skin slowly, then propped forward and kissed her neck. Leisurely, he caressed
her warm skin with his bearded jaw.
Soft moans loosened from her
mouth as she slanted her neck. Pushed on by her subtle demand, he pressed his
hand firmly against her belly through her dress. The tender pouch danced beneath
his fingers.
“I thought it mattered,” he whispered
at the back of her ear. “With you, here and now, Ola Gowon, the softness of
your belly doesn’t matter to me. What about my beard? Is it a deal breaker?”
