Today, I want to share popular solutions to handling stress that you must avoid.
Avoiding these available steps is for your own good, not mine. I assume you want a long-term solution, not an answer that leads you to more difficult problems or even ruin your health and life.
So when you are stressed by your husband, wife, children, work, friends, colleagues or family in general,
AVOID THESE ACTIONS
1. Drinking/Alcohol Abuse
The organs (kidney, liver, heart and brain) in your body are important, don't poison them.
You will end up sick or in rehabilitation and your wife or husband might turn her or his back on you.
2. Smoking packets of cigarettes or cigars
If you don't need your lungs, donate them to people who want to stay healthy. Quit smoking, if you are a smoker. If you are not, don't START. Smoking causes diseases in nearly every organ of the body. If you don't believe me, read more here.
Lung cancer or its close relative maybe knocking on your body.
3. Drug Abuse
Drug abuse affects the body and the mind. It causes distorted thoughts and emotions. Read more here.
You might end up penniless, homeless and lose everyone you love.
4. Experimenting with pills
These pills supposedly makes you forget your problems. Ha! That's a huge lie. When the effect of the pills wear off, your problems will be waiting for you where you abandoned them.
5. Running away
Do you run away and hope the stress and problems all go away too? The reality is that your problems won't go anywhere except you deal with them.
6. Lying
Lies have short legs. Have you not seen or heard that every lie will be discovered, anyway? You lose trust and your relationship might not survive your strings of lies.
WHAT TO DO INSTEAD
Face your problems. Deal with them.
Remember, whether you are rich or poor, young or old, as long as you are human, you will go through stress.
Many people handle stress differently. Some people bottle things inside, hiding how they really feel from the world. While others take out their stress on their family and friends.
