About your family/background, your location:
I grew up in small town Oklahoma, then Dallas. I currently live outside of New Orleans.
How and why did you decide to get published?
I self published last year. Why? Because I was tired of sending query letters.
What genre do you write? And why?
Michael Robb writes paranormal chillers.
What other genre interest you?
My other pen name, M. R. Mathias, writes bestselling epic fantasy.
What is the story behind your book?
Butcher’s Boy is just a solid mystery/thriller mash up. It will scar the crap out of you though. The fantasy books are huge. All of them near, or over, 200k words.
How do you decide your book cover?
I look around iStockPhoto or deviantart.com until I find what I am after. Then I buy the book rights to it. My friend Gary at GVTgrafix.com does the rest.
Do you think readers decide based on book cover or book title?
My books are lengthy. I’d like to think that they are purchased based on the free preview. A good cover or title gets readers to look though.
If you write fiction; What’s the source of your inspiration? How much of YOU show up in your writing?
I am inspired by life. I have too many characters for me to show up in my novels. A character in one of my fantasy novels tells a story about me though.

Awesome Possum.
How have you found the writing process?
Way better than the editing process.
Have you ever experienced writer’s block? How did you tackle it?
Not yet. *Knocks on wood*.
Do you have a blog? What do you write about?
I try not to blog. I tweet. I am @DahgMahn on twitter.
What books are on your shelf at home?
A lot of great fantasy fiction, some westerns, some King and Koontz too. Michael Connely, Grishom, Cussler as well.
Any awards/achievement you want to share?
The Sword and the Dragon by M. R. Mathias was deemed one of the top 10 indie fantasy releases of 2010 by Fantasy Book Critic.
Who’s your favourite author?
Raymond E. Feist.
What are you good at as an individual?
Poker.
What form of entertainment do you enjoy most and why?
Fishing, because it is time spent relaxing in nature.
What are your other interests?
lmao.
Your favourite pet?
@MrStubbsSays on twitter. He’s a pretty good dog.
What’s your choice meal/favourite restaurant?
Shrimp alfreado.
What’s your music choice?
From Mozart to Mettallica and everything in between.

Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Name your favourite world leader and why.
I don’t have one.
If you had one wish, what would it be?
That puppies and little kids never had to die.
If you can change one thing, what would it be?
I would change the ability of politicians to lie.
What would you say you’re bad at?
I am good at everything. Laughs!
What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve done?
My (ex)wife and I were once caught making out in the woods near Lake Worth, TX by a troop of Boy Scouts. Luckily, we were only half naked.
Anything else your readers don’t know about you?
There is a lot they don’t know, and that is probably for the best.
What’s your favourite quote?

Because they are good solid reads.
