What #Movie Stokes The Flame in Your #Relationship?

Welcome to Advice Bench!

Does watching a sexy movie turn up the heat in your body to the extent you rush home to practice what you've seen?

Let me put it this way, say you go to the Cinema, watch a film where the romance is so real, you can almost touch it, you feel your thighs twitch in response and you wish your husband or wife is there to take away some of the pent up body heat?

Okay, I must confess. On Sunday, I went to the Cinema and I watched a pretty sexy American romantic comedy, titled; ABOUT LAST NIGHT. It was hot! The sex references left me giggling like a school girl.

I had no clue it was going to leave me so stewed. Unable to quench the raging fire it stirred inside me, I rushed home to my hubby's arms, securely locking the bedroom door behind me!

Since then, I have constantly sent unprintable, sexy text messages to my hubby, and the
result is that more heat is generated behind closed doors.

I'm grateful to the producers of the film for severely stoking the flame in my bedroom. No kidding. Lol!

Its your turn to name any movie that has left you running into your lovers arms because of the heat level. Please share.

Thank you for stopping by. Please share your comments, so I know you stopped by. It gives me great pleasure to read your views.

You remain unforgettable,

  1. Frankly, I haven't watched a movie that had such a strong impact on me. Usually, it's just a story. I guess it could also be because I watch romantic comedies which are more sweet than HOT.
But good for you. Maybe I'll try out ABOUT LAST NIGHT - I see it has Michael Ealy whom I really like

    1. I wasn't prepared for the heat level from the opening sentence of the film! After getting over the initial shock, I sat back and got value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you, Empi for sharing your view.

  2. No, because when I get home I know it wouldn't go the way it did on screen. LOL!

  3. I haven't been to a cinema in years (apart from taking the kids). And I can't remember the last time a movie at home left me frisky. LOL

So the simply answer is No.

    1. I seem to be the only frisky one, Kiru! Going to the Cinema is my favourite past time and I got steamed on this one! Loved it.

My kids watched a different film, RIDE ALONG. They can watch films on their own. Very liberating.

Thanks for sharing your views, Kiru.

  4. About last night was hot and sweet too, I saw it with hubby and we got some goodies when we got back :)

Some episodes of Scandal or Greys Anatomy can also get steamy.

    1. Finally, Myne shares my steamy thoughts on this film. Usually, I try to get a taste of the heat level before watching. In this case, I had no idea. My son choose this film for me. I owe him serious gratitude.

I haven't seen Scandal or Greys Anatomy, but I'll search and watch them in the next few days. If it as steamy as About Last Night, I'll send you flowers. Lol!

Great to have you pop in, Myne. I have missed you. Thank you.

  5. Movies don't affect me like that. It's interesting. Books on the other hand have more influence. Perhaps it's using my imagination that makes the scene hotter than seeing people act it out. Your husband must be one happy man.

    1. Oh yes Nana, books do have the same effect on me as the movies.

You bet, my husband is grinning from ear to ear. He's enjoying the wild attention.

Glad you dropped in to share your thoughts, Nana. Thank you.

  7. As others have said, books are more likely than a movie to get me going. But when movies do get to me it's usually an action flick more than a romance. I guess it's the adrenaline. For instance, I LOVED Underworld. The sequel wasn't as good, but having gotten so invested in Michael and Selene, when they finally did the deed, I got awfully hot and bothered myself. It was a combination of the violence, the heart-stopping action, and the gorgeous guy, I suppose. Not a film for the squeamish, but it sure got my blood boiling. Oh, and there's the vampire thing too. Love a vampire story.

    1. I can imagine the blasting combination of action and romance, Simone. Wow! I love the sound of 'adrenaline rush'.

I'm faint hearted. Vampires? You have a strong heart. Thanks Simone for sharing. I truly appreciate it.

  8. Good for you, Stella. I used to be so frisky some time back. Now both hubby and I have slowed down due to pressures of work and life!.

But then I get highly turned by reading hot sexy scenes in books than by watching films. I hardly watch films anyway!

    1. That's what happens from time to time - work pressures & general life stress cools down the steam in many homes. So when my whole body lit up with this romantic comedy laced with sexy conversation, it shoved me into action.

Only last week, I prayed for a 'lighting up' and wow, it burst into glowing flames. It was so great, I had to blog about it.

Romance books are a source of regular dose of inspiration for me as well. Huge thanks to you, Celestine for being a regular commenter. I love your openness and those of the others commenters as well. May God help us rekindle our relationships to His Glory.
