HOW TO TALK TO YOUR SPOUSE II

Yes, so we continue our topic on 'How To Talk To Your Spouse'.
Now consider this scenario; You're not in the mood to speak to your spouse for a thousand and one reasons e.g. You're upset with him because you don't think he or she is doing enough to help with house chores, works too hard, isn't providing enough etc. While you're seething with annoyance, your spouse, unaware of your mood, begins to chat excitedly about their favourite topic; football, work, recent shopping experience etc. And you sit there reading a book you're not interested in or keep your eyes glued to television, totally ignoring your partner. Or you may murmur, 'Hmmm...eh...oh...' as a standard response. Eventually, your spouse may realize that you're not in the mood to chat. And you think in your heart, 'Ahhh, finally, he's understood that am not interested in speaking...'

As a spouse who has been 'turned down' by his or her uninterested spouse, I think you should seek to find out what is eating your spouse up. A good question will be, 'Hey babe! (even if she is 40yrs old!!! Women love to feel girlish!) why are you upset?' Her response maybe silence at first. But if you pay her adequate attention, move closer, give her a peck on the cheek or just simply sit beside her and run your fingers along her thighs, her anger will come tumbling out in a rush of words... And there, you can talk through it and resolve it.

Th same formula works with handling your grumpy or moody husband. What he desires is your undivided attention, prodding, loving and treating him like the baby he is!!!

Now off you go and make your relationship work for you.

Our promise...is to deliver an intense emotional experience.
